Do you ship your puppies?

No, we will not ship our puppies. Pick-up will be at our home in Northern Illinois- by appointment only.

Can I visit prior to puppy pick-up?

We do not allow puppy visits prior to the pick-up date. Visitors stress the Mothers out & the puppies can't be exposed to germs prior to vaccination. Their health is our number one priority. Our Facebook page & website will be updated regularly with pictures/videos of the puppies. Also, feel free to email or text us for updates on your litter. The day of pick-up you will have time to play with the puppies & take your puppy home that day.

If for some reason, I had to give up my dog, will you take the dog back?

Yes, a Johnstone Retriever will always have a home with us. Although our ultimate goal is to find our puppies forever family, we understand that circumstances change. When you get a Johnstone Retriever, you will be signing a contract that states, in the event you have to give up your dog & you can't find a loving home for them, the dog must be surrendered to us.

We do not want our dogs in shelters. Animal Shelters need to have space for dogs and other animals that need a home. Our dogs ALWAYS have a home with us. They do not need to be in a shelter using resources that another animal needs.

*If you are able to find them a loving home, we MUST be notified. We will need the new owners name, address and phone. Also, the new owner must change the information on the dog's microchip.
